HERE IS AN INTERESTING AFGAN NOTE FOR 1,000 AFGANIS AND I BELIEVE THE ONLY WAY YOU CAN CASH THIS IS TO GO THERE AS WELL SO MAYBE I WILL BE LISTING THESE ON THIS SITE AS WELL. DOES ANYONE KNOW THE VALUE OF THIS ONE? I CANNOT FIND A DATE ON THIS ONE BUT SEEMS RELATIVELY NEW?
THANK YOU,
Tudey sorry for all the capital letters.

This does seem to be newish, with the doves symbolising a relatively peaceful time. I haven’t got a catalogue which covers that period.
You have an odd phrase “the only way you can cash it”. This is already money, it isn’t a travellers’ cheque. You might be able to change it into another currency at a bureau de change.
In theory, 1,000 Afghanis is about US$20 today (but this assumes that the Afghani has not been revalued since the note was issued, something which can of course happen not only in countries like Yugoslavia but even with the French franc).
You would almost certainly be able to find these on sale on delcampe or similar websites.

This was in use at least from 1979 to 1991 , and by 2002 there was another design. There does not seem to have been rapid inflation in Afghanistan, but even so, this is probably not a current note that you could change for $20 .
